I have been tattooing since 2022 in Manchester, UK. I currently tattoo out of my cosy private studio; Fun Guy Club. My Instagram username for my tattoo account is @ink.soup_

My tattoos, much like my illustrations, are inspired by nature and all things whimsical.

Feel free to have a look below at some of my work, there is also an after care sheet if you are looking for how to care for your new tattoo!

Tattoo Aftercare

Thanks so much for getting a tattoo from me! Here is some advice on how to heal it safely and care for you new tatt.

If your tattoo has been wrapped in clingfilm then you can unwrap your tattoo when you get home or after 3 or 4 hours and carefully wash it with warm water and a antibacterial or gentle fragrance free soap (if you are unsure what you have is okay, send me a message and I can give you a hand!) Try not to use anything that will irritate it like heavily fragranced soaps and don’t scrub it! Be gentle. You do not need to re-wrap your tattoo unless you are going out again that night.

Wash your tattoo before bed and if it is leaking/bleeding a bit you can re-wrap for bed and repeat the process of cleaning in the morning. It’s better to let it dry out as soon as possible but up to you!

After washing your tattoo be sure to pat dry with a paper towel or freshly clean towel! No dirty towels on your fresh tattoo!

I recommend letting the tattoo dry out for a day or two before using any aftercare creams/moisturisers. Just still make sure you are keeping it clean.

If we used second skin on your tattoo, simply leave the film on for 3 or 4 days (up to 5) and then peel it off very gently under warm running water, in the shower is probably best. Pull the film up and out not over the direction of the tattoo. As long as you do it gently and carefully you will avoid pulling any of the ink out or causing any irritation.

Keep an eye out for any ink leaking out of the second skin, if this happens it means it is no longer sealed and so dirt can get it. Just remove the second skin early if you notice this happening!

The edges may come up - this is fine. Just make sure the tattoo itself is still covered and sealed.

The second skin may fall off before the 3-4 days is up. This is fine just stick to these same instructions. If it falls off in the first 24 hours just follow the instructions above as if it were clingfilm!

For aftercare cream I recommend Palmer Cocoa Butter, coconut oil or any fragrance free moisturiser - I use CeraVe or Cetaphil as that’s usually what I have lying around. I can also recommend Stories & Ink.

Try not to over-moisturise, a couple times a day should be fine. Or as a general rule when it is dry and itchy!

Mainly thing to remember is: keep it CLEAN and DRY!

Some rules!

  • Don't submerge your tattoo in water (swimming/baths/saunas) for at least 2 weeks until fully healed.

  • Don’t pick or scratch! If it is itchy, moisturise it.

  • Don’t touch your fresh tattoo with unwashed hands, or let anyone else touch it
Keep your fresh tattoo out of the sun. Including when covered in second skin. Don’t apply sunscreen until fully healed. Just keep it out of the sun entirely.

If you have any questions or issues please let me know! If you ever need a touch-up that’s always free!

Enjoy your new tattoo! <3
